Our COVID-19 Statement

Sunshine Heights Cricket Club is fully committed to providing a safe environment for members of our club (players, volunteers, families, spectators) and the wider community.

We have established a COVID-19 sub-committee led by Life Member and experienced Corporate Director with a career spanning over 45 years, Paul Muller. Paul will lead a team of Sunshine Heights committee members spanning both junior and senior sections of our club.

We are committed to providing quality practices that are aligned with the guidance available from but are not limited to the following bodies: Sport Australia, Cricket Australia, Cricket Victoria, Brimbank City Council, the Victorian State Government, Department of Health & Human Services and other relevant authorities applicable to our club.

We acknowledge that Cricket in a pandemic is a privilege, not a right.

We are implementing a plan that takes into consideration all the guidance that has been provided by the above bodies and have appointed a COVID Safety Officer, Adam Ciach (Life Member), to ensure the implementation of that plan. Adam will be assisted by Michelle Buckley (Juniors) and Marcela Fuenzalida (Seniors) as Coordinators.

We ask all our members and their families to be mindful of the responsibility we all have, to adhering to the plan, as any breaches could have serious ramifications for members of the community and the continuation of the season.

A copy of the plan will be made available in due course.

We want to assure all players, volunteers, families, spectators, along with the wider community; that Sunshine Heights Cricket Club has the safety, the health and the wellbeing of you all in mind. We will do all in our power to provide a safe environment for you to enjoy your cricket in 2020-2021.

Requirements for attending our facilities on our grounds

We ask that all players, volunteers, families, spectators and the wider community using our facilities at either ground; please ensure you register your attendance via our QR recording system.
